Recent Kpop Styling Moments I Love: April 2025
TEN in the Stunner MV
I absolutely love this arm brace. Unfortunately we only get some very short clips of it, making it impossible to capture. Its almost armor-like in nature, inspired by shoulder pads worn by bikers or football players. It reminds me of a similar styling from the Wren Evans video I referenced in my last post. I really hope that armor and shoulder pads like these become more popular. I think they add an element of grunge and edginess.
Sakura in the Come Over MV
The Come Over promo continues to serve 1960s styling to a T. I was impressed when I saw the first comeback stage, obviously referencing beatnik styling and fosse inspiration. The Come Over MV is so fun, and the styling is refreshing. In this screenshot, Sakura’s makeup is most definitely referencing Twiggy here.
Chaeyoung for Dazed x Nike
I’m a sucker for monochromatic looks. I love over-the-top and avant garde styling as much as anyone, but I appreciate when styling seems easy to recreate. This one is simple —a hoodie, tights, skirt, and sneakers—but the consistency of the red elevates it. The color also looks amazing on her. Her eye makeup — like the photo above— seems to also be 60s influenced; I wonder if this is a sign of a growing trend.

The reason I love this look is the use of fake freckles. I’d love if a trend were to emerge where celebrities were able to embrace their natural skin but barring that, fake freckles will have to do for now. I do think that if this were to become a larger trend, we might see some idols embracing their natural blemishes, freckles, and skin textures.
See you next month!
